Why I Joined the DataPros Community as an Advisor – Data Culture as a Strategic Bet

Over the course of my career—from Microsoft to Adobe, Oracle, Shell, and now advising early-
stage ventures—I’ve witnessed a constant: data is only as powerful as the human insight it
empowers. That truth sits at the core of why I joined the DataPros Community as an advisor.
This isn’t just a network of technologists and analysts—it’s a movement toward more
responsible, empathetic, and outcomes-driven use of data.

I’ve spent more than two decades at the intersection of product, marketing, and innovation.
Whether leading global marketing, communications and go-to-market strategies for Oracle’s
DMP, harnessing complex buy side data sets at AOL/Verizon Media, or shaping sustainability-
focused narratives at Shell Recharge Solutions, I’ve seen firsthand how data can either be a
blunt instrument or a bridge to deeper understanding. The difference to me lies in empathy—the
kind that listens, translates, and anticipates human needs before numbers. But, that can only
happen if data is managed effectively.

At Adobe, we built storytelling frameworks rooted in customer context, not just features. At IPG
Mediabrands, I helped unify teams around shared metrics that didn’t just report performance—
they helped explain behavior for our agency businesses. And most recently through The
Luminary Societies, an inherently analog concept, I’ve been curating transformational salon
environments where business insight and intention meet—whether in AI, sustainable tech,
philanthropy, the arts or CX. Each role reaffirmed for me that the greatest marketing or business
driver isn’t only about reach. It’s about resonance.

That’s what drew me to DataPros and the ethos of the community. This community doesn’t treat
data as a static asset—it sees it as a dynamic responsibility and a co-creation of a community
build of makers and strategists who understand the complexity of the landscape. The team is
building frameworks and tools that elevate decision-making, not just dashboards. They’re
prioritizing ethical architecture, collaborative design, and measurable impact across industries.
Joining as an advisor is not just about lending my experience in SaaS growth, narrative design,
or GTM strategy. It’s about standing up for the kind of data culture we need now in the midst of
revolutionary digital change: transparent, contextual, and deeply human processes and
systems.

Because when we put empathy at the center of how we collect, interpret, and apply data as
professionals, we do more than optimize outcomes—we build trust, shift systems, and unlock
what’s possible.

I’m honored to support the DataPros Community and help shape a future where data doesn’t just inform—it connects.
